In a significant restructuring of its senior management, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema has appointed Dana Pearson as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Product & Digital while promoting Alex Shullman to Chief Product & Strategy Officer. The outgoing CFO, Matt Vonderahe, who held the position for four years, will support the transition team until the end of the year, ensuring a smooth handover of responsibilities.

Dana Pearson’s journey with Alamo Drafthouse commenced in 2020 as a consultant. She quickly advanced through the ranks, becoming Director of Finance the following year and subsequently rising to Vice President of Finance in 2022. During her tenure, Pearson has made impactful changes to the company’s financial landscape, including the overhaul of budgeting, financial analysis, and treasury management processes. The theater chain credits her with significant improvements in its supply chain and insurance dealings, which are critical in a post-pandemic landscape marked by economic unpredictability.

On the other hand, Alex Shullman joined the company in 2022 as the Vice President of Product and Digital Experience and later transitioned to Vice President of Experience earlier this year.
